From the very first conversation we had with Tyler and Alex, we knew their wedding day was going to be one for the books, and spoiler alert: we were not wrong. We felt an easy connection with them right away and could sense the deep love and unquestionable admiration they have for each other. These qualities, above all else, almost always mean our job on the wedding day will be extremely enjoyable. Once we started to hear more about their story, and the plans and the details of the day began to fall into place, we knew for sure – it would be a stunner.
From the gorgeous florals by our friend Carla of Capital Florist, to the incredible reception space at The Westin Ottawa’s Venue TwentyTwo, the wedding design was the ultimate balance of elegant, romantic and contemporary. With Shannon Kennedy as their planner, the day went off without a hitch, including their perfectly timed first dance to the spectacular grand finale of the Lac-Leamy Sound of Light fireworks display that illuminated the dance floor through the venue’s incredible panoramic windows.
There are a lot of photos here folks, I won’t sugar coat it. We spent just over 12 hours laughing, crying and celebrating with these two gorgeous souls, and we just couldn’t (wouldn’t) bring ourselves to leave out any of the beautiful moments included below. So pour a glass of wine, pull up a chair, and feast your eyes on this love story.
