Wedding Weekend – Day 1 of 2 <3
When we first met with Jenna and Giovanni so that we could get to know them and learn about their wedding plans, two things kept running through my mind during the meeting: 1. This is going to be the coolest wedding ever. 2. How come we aren’t friends with these people already?? Both Jenna and Gio have this rare combination of character traits, they are incredibly warm, caring, and humble, while also having amazing taste, killer style and super strong creative vision. They are those people you meet once in a blue moon, that you just feel completely at ease with right away and you want to be besties. Once we had the opportunity to meet their friends and family on their wedding day, it became instantly evident that we aren’t the only ones who felt this. Jenna and Gio’s magnetic personalities have drawn a wide circle of support and love around them, and around their beautiful loving relationship with each other.
So, what do you do when you want to have an intimate wedding ceremony, but also wish to honor and celebrate all of those meaningful relationships? You throw a 2 day long affair, and get the absolute best of both worlds. We are so pleased to share day one!
We asked Jenna and Giovanni to share a few words about the day:
“It’s an incredible feeling to find the love of your life and to marry that wonderful person on precisely the day that we first met two years ago!
We decided to make the morning of our wedding about us and to get ready together in our own home. It was personal, intimate, peaceful, and calm. It made for the perfect morning and a lovely start to our big day.
Once we were looking fancy, we walked along Wellington street to meet our family for brunch at the place that we first met. It was really cool to explore our neighbourhood together. In place of a first look we had a first walk and some gelato too!
We met for our first date at Cafe My House two years ago to the day. We love our family and it was extremely important to us that they had the opportunity to meet each other for the first time in a place that was meaningful to us, not to mention it was incredibly romantic and the food was absolutely fantastic!
We love the outdoors and it was our dream to be married outside in a natural setting. We exchanged our vows at Brown’s Inlet Park next to an oak tree. The weather was perfect: sunny balanced with a nice breeze.”
